Troy Bayliss and Loris Capirossi the men who, in 2003, lead Ducati’s first foray into grand prix, riding the awe inspiring, Desmosedici 990cc MotoGP machine are reunited for the bike’s last race at the 2006 season finale.
Bayliss, having just secured his second World Superbike Championship for Ducati, was riding for the injured, Sete Gibernau. He dominated the race, scoring his first GP victory while leading teammate and three time World Champion, Capirossi, to the finish. The first Ducati one-two finish in MotoGP.
